The trail to Antelope Falls is considered challenging due to its steep terrain, but the effort is well worth the reward. As you ascend through lush jungle, you'll encounter a vibrant mix of wildlife, tropical flora, and fauna unique to Belize’s rainforests. The hike takes approximately 1 hour to reach the top, covering 1.1 miles each way and gaining 550 feet in elevation.

Just before the summit, a short spur leads to a breathtaking viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the Stann Creek District and all the way out to the Caribbean Sea on clear days. At the top, hikers are rewarded with a refreshing swim in a natural pool fed by the waterfall—the perfect way to cool down after the climb.

After a relaxing dip and time to soak in the scenery, you’ll retrace your steps down the trail—a much easier descent that lets you fully enjoy the beauty of the surrounding jungle.
