About this experience

Tourists can literally "Be in the Clouds" when climbing Volcano Maderas. It is one of the very few volcanoes in Nicaragua where cloud forests grow. They will explore the rich and diverse flora and fauna associated with the cloud forests. They can take in the spectacular view of the island from the viewpoint "El Mirador". In El Porvenir they get a glimpse of the island's past when walking through the petroglyphs. The guide will give a brief history of the volcano at the start of the tour and will provide interesting titbits throughout the tour. A light refreshment will be provided. We provide a fun and interactive experience.

Climb Volcano Maderas, where they can experience cloud forests . The cloud forests are characterized by rich plant and animal life. There are fantastic viewpoints like "El Mirador" which provides spectacular view of the island in general and in particular the view from the isthmus of Santa Cruz to Conception Volcano. Explore the diverse flora and fauna native to the volcano and it's cloud forests. The guide will provide interesting titbits about the flora and fauna. There will be ample of opportunity to take fantastic photos from different viewpoints throughout the climb.
