At Riisitunturi National Park, travelers will explore one of Finland’s most iconic winter landscapes on a guided winter hike. The experience takes place along maintained trails, leading through snow-covered forests famous for their dramatic “Arctic Snow Monsters” — trees shaped by extreme snowfall, wind and freezing temperatures.
During the visit, the guide leads the group at a relaxed pace to scenic viewpoints and the most photogenic areas of the park. Guests will stop frequently to admire the landscape, take photos and learn how these unique snow formations are created, as well as hear insights about Arctic nature and Lapland’s winter environment.
The visit also includes a stop at a wilderness area within the national park, where travelers enjoy a traditional Finnish lunch by open fire before continuing the hike.
