The head temple of Nichiren Shoshu is known as Tahofuji Dainichirenge-san Taiseki-ji, and was founded on October 12, 1290.

The grounds of Taiseki-ji Temple feature weeping cherry trees, Yoshino cherry trees, mountain cherry trees, double-flowered cherry trees, and moss phlox, which bloom sequentially from late March to mid-April. Visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms against the backdrop of Mount Fuji from locations such as Jōtōga Mine, Myōgion, and Hōshōen.
In front of the Sutra Repository, you can see the Fujikiku cherry tree, designated as a Natural Monument of Fujinomiya City.
At Ryugan Bridge spanning the Uruigawa River, a 250-meter stretch of cherry trees lines the left bank. From Takido Bridge, you can enjoy a perfect view of the cherry blossoms, the Uruigawa River, and Mt. Fuji.
