The Izumo Oyashiro Shrine is one of the most famous Shrines in Japan, and was built in the ancient times. It is already written in a book from the early 8th century. It is said that the original structure was almost 96 meters high, and taller than the Great Buddha Hall at Todaiji Temple in Nara! The current main architecture was completed renovation in 1744.
