Detailed itinerary

1

Begin your journey heading down blue diamond for about 6 miles. On the left is a terribles/chevron gas station. Where you can use the facilities, fill up on snacks and gas. After the gas station continue up the 160 for about 12 miles. As you reach the summit of the pass there is a cool biker bar called the mountain springs saloon. Would recommend checking it out!

After the saloon it will be about a 5 min drive downhill to Lovell canyon road. Make a right here and go 5 -6 miles until the road begins to veer right. This is the location of the sunset overlook. If occupied there are many areas along the cliffs that you can set up. Most cell services will have reception here. Sunset time will vary depending on the time of year. Make sure to pack warm clothes this area can be chilly at night.

2

This will be the area where you perch high above the desert below and watch the sunset and stars populate the sky!
