Nestled just 40 minutes away from the bustling city of Tbilisi, our journey begins with a visit to the enchanting Jinvali Water Lake. With its origins dating back to the Soviet era, this reservoir was created in the 1980s by damming the Aragvi River to provide hydroelectric power to the region.

Today, it's not only a source of energy but also a haven of natural splendor. Our first stop allows us to immerse ourselves in the serene ambiance of the lake. Here, we take a brief pause, bask in the picturesque surroundings, and capture the moment before continuing our adventure.

2

After our serene sojourn by Jinvali Water Lake, we embark on a short 10-minute drive to our next destination, the majestic Ananuri Fortress. This historical gem stands proudly on the banks of the Aragvi River, a testament to centuries of Georgian heritage.

With a history dating back to the 17th century, Ananuri has witnessed the rise and fall of dynasties and played a pivotal role in Georgia's past. Our knowledgeable tour guide will regale us with tales of bravery, intrigue, and the dynastic struggles that unfolded within these ancient walls.

We'll have approximately 45 minutes to explore the fortress, admire its well-preserved architecture, and soak in the stories etched in every stone.

Our journey continues to a truly mesmerizing natural wonder - the confluence of the Black and White Aragvi Rivers. This remarkable site is a testament to the harmonious blending of two distinct bodies of water, each with its unique coloration.

Here, nature's artistry is on full display as the ebony-black waters of one river merge gracefully with the pristine white waters of the other. The contrast is both striking and symbolic, reflecting the unity and diversity of Georgia's landscapes.

Prepare to be captivated by this awe-inspiring sight and capture the magic of the Aragvi confluence as we take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature's craftsmanship.

Standing as a relic of history, the Friendship Monument of Georgian and Russian people was erected in 1983 to commemorate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk. It once symbolized the camaraderie between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. This architectural gem graces the Georgian Military Highway, nestled between the enchanting ski resort town of Gudauri and the majestic Jvari Pass.

The monument itself is a grand circular stone arch and a sturdy concrete structure, perched high above the Devil's Valley within the magnificent Caucasus mountains. Gudauri, with its charming location in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains, is a ski enthusiast's paradise. Located at a lofty altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level, this resort enjoys ample sunlight, making it an ideal destination for snow sports.

However, Gudauri is not just about skiing; it beckons as a picturesque sightseeing haven, offering a breath of fresh mountain air and a chance to reconnect with nature.

6

Next stop brings us to the fascinating Jvari Pass Travertine Natural Monument. This geological wonder is a testament to the forces of nature at work over millennia.

The Jvari Pass Travertine formation, with its unique and intricate patterns, offers a glimpse into the Earth's ever-evolving story. Carved by the passage of time and mineral-rich waters, it stands as a testament to the artistry of the natural world.

Our visit here promises a unique and thought-provoking experience as we explore the captivating formations and reflect on the geological history that has shaped this incredible monument

Our tour culminates at the breathtaking Gergeti Trinity Church, nestled high in the mountains. Please note that our tour bus can't reach the church due to the terrain.
