Avanos is a charming town in Cappadocia, famous for its rich pottery tradition and scenic views along the Kızılırmak River. Known for its skilled artisans, Avanos has been a center for ceramic production for centuries, with many workshops offering visitors a chance to see pottery-making in action. Pasabag, also known as Pasha's Vineyard, is located along the Zelve road between the well-known town of Goreme and the traditional pottery town of Avanos. This area is famous for its stunning cone-shaped rock formations called Fairy Chimneys, which rise majestically throughout the vineyard. The name Pasha refers to a significant official from Ottoman times when the region was conquered. However, it is more widely recognized as Monks Valley, a name derived from the numerous monk retreats carved into the soft rock formations.
