About this experience

Join us for an educational, small-group wine tour in Rioja, complete with hotel pickup and drop-off. This full-day experience explores the region’s two most celebrated areas: Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, where history, culture, and world-class wines come together.

We’ll visit three selected wineries, chosen with your preferences in mind to give you a true sense of Rioja’s diversity. Expect contrasting experiences, from modern facilities to historic caves; complete with tastings.

In the morning, we’ll explore two wineries before pausing for lunch in a charming village, where you’ll enjoy pintxos - the Basque Country’s famous small plates - and soak up the local atmosphere. After lunch, we’ll visit a final winery before returning you comfortably to your accommodation, leaving you free to enjoy your evening.

With a maximum of 8 guests, our tours are designed to be intimate, insightful, and relaxed, making them ideal for both curious beginners and seasoned wine lovers.

Our native English, Spanish Wine Scholar will accompany you to three wineries, each of which will include a visit and tasting, and each with a distinct feature in order to show you the breadth of the appellation. Each winery will be selected based on your current knowledge of wine and any preferences in the style of visit.

Some of the wineries we visit are Marques de Riscal, Conde de los Andes, Bodegas Ysios, Bodega del Tesoro and many others,
