The pearl of Latvian architecture: MONUMENT OF FREEDOM opened 1935, 42m high, sculptor K.Zāle. Light gray and rosy Finland granite (Women named Milda) and Italian travertine was used in the creation, the freedom statue was made in bronze in Sweden.

THE CENTRAL MARKET OF RIGA is one of the biggest market squares of Europe, it measures in 72,300m². It’s been open since 28th 1922. The hangars of Central market during the WWI were used for Germany army’s zeppelins based in Kurland, near the port city of Liepaja. When the market got expanded five these 240m long 46m wide and 18 high market-halls were moved to Riga and the market itself was acknowledged as the biggest and the most modern market of the 1930 in Europe.

RAILWAY BRIDGE was opened in 1914 and was decorated in 2007 – its illuminated arches are best viewed from distance.

LATVIAN NATIONAL LIBRARY - CASTLE OF LIGHT – new architectural wonder in Riga, creating the new panorama of Riga’s Pārdaugava, designed in 1989 by noted Latvian-American architect Gunnar Birkerts, constructed in 2014.

STONE BRIDGE is more than a half-kilometer long; opened in July 1957. The bridge takes you from the left side of Daugava right to the Old Town. It’s right end faces the Blackhead’s House and the Occupation Museum. All locals and visitors of the city are welcomed by the Cockerel on top of St. Peter’s Church.

VANŠU BRIDGE is located more to the North and closer to the sea. You can take the bridge to get to the modern skyscraper - Saules Akmens (Sun Stone).

LATVIAN NATIONAL THEATRE was founded in 1919, the building is in the Eclectic style and is an architectural and artistic monument.

THE POWDER POWER formerly known as Sand Tower, it was a significant part of Riga fortification in 1330, defending the main gate to the east side road. At the moment it serves as one of the blocks of the Museum of War of Latvia.
