Experience an easy and rewarding mountain hike in the Big Almaty (Almaarasan) Gorge. Immerse yourself in the incredible scenery of the Tian Shan mountains as we trek along the Japanese Road, a path with a fascinating history dating back to its construction by Japanese prisoners of war in WWII.

From the heights of the Japanese Road, we'll also see the famous Ayusay Gorge, renowned for its population of the Tian Shan brown bear.
