Our second stop is at Cape Sounio where the amazing marble temple of Poseidon stands overlooking the Aegean sea. Here we enjoy the view, talking about myths & history & photoshooting during our strolling around the temple.
On our drive along the Athenian Riviera, our first stop is at the Thermal lake of Vouliagmeni. Located by the coast ,it has an underwater cave with 14 tunnels that have still yet to be fully explored. The hidden treasure of Attiki is a unique geological phenomenon with history of only 2.360 years. It's famous for its mineral waters & healing properties for the skin & muscles. The water is fresh from springs 150m. deep & salty ( 50m. away from the sea ) with temperature from 20C/71F to 29C/84F. We enjoy swimming, sunbathing & relaxing on our sunbeds on the lake front for approx.2 hours. You can also experience the fish nibbling off your dead skin. There are also cabins,showers & a very nice bar for snacks,salads & drinks.
