About this experience

You will discover Warsaw like with a friend, usually it's like a private tour or a very small group (up to 4 persons).
Warsaw - the most attractive tourist destination in Europe according to the European Best Destinations contest 2023. This walking tour will give you a glimpse of everything what Warsaw has to offer! We will stroll through its beautiful green areas, visit the UNESCO-listed Old Town, admire carefully restored after WWII townhouses and meaningful monuments along the “Royal route”, and relax having a break in one of the cafes on the way. I will also show you a few hidden gems!

Detailed itinerary

You will discover why the Mermaid is in Warsaw coat of arms and who was the model for the sculptor. There is an important story behind related to the WWII as well.

Stop 2

Warsaw University Library with a rooftop garden (open April – October) – awarded concept, which combines the functionality of a modern library with a green space for relaxation, respecting the shape of the Vistula embankment. There is a nice view from the rooftop on the river and the city.

Viewing Terrace on the bell tower of St. Anna church- is well worth to climb for a delightful view of the Old Town up close and other districts of Warsaw in the distance. You will see how greatly the Old Town and the Royal Castle were rebuilt after the WWII.

Stop 5

The Old Town - cobblestone Gothic streets and alleyways, numerous churches and tiered burghers' tenement houses were masterfully reconstructed to reflect the atmosphere of the past. We will stroll through picturesque lanes, admire the details on facades and see the favorite place of lovers.

Stop 6

The 2.5 mile "Royal route" with most important buildings and monuments reflecting the yesteryears. On the way - Presidential Palace - this beautiful neo-classic building is where the Polish president resides, guarded by more than 200 years old four lions sculptured by Camilio Laudini. 8-years old Frederic Chopin played in this building for the first time publicly.

Marshal Pilsudski square – a parade square with memorial of the Unknow Soldier. The square is very important for Varsovians, a place of many meetings, concerts and events. Behind the memorial there is a beautiful Saxon Garden.
