This place we will see the old Buddhist temple that was build more than 300 years ago and it used to be a prison during the pol pot regime and I will spend some time there to explain you about pol pot regime and Religion and it is possible for you to see The Well of Shadows ( killing field) you can see some skulls and bones of the victims were killed during the pol pot regime there was Thousands of peoples were killed there and after that we Will take a few hours to see the real life of local people are living at that small village, see people are making bamboo sticky rice I will let you test them as a snack,and after that we’re taking by a small village road to see how the local people are making rice paper for spring roll and Will test it as a snack , then after that we’re going to see the fish paste Market (Cambodia cheese) have a short walk around that small market and after that we’re going to see people are making Dry banana and test it.
we’re going to the bamboo train on the way we’re going to take a small villages see some fruits farm, local pagoda, suspension bridge, to the bamboo train station ( the original bamboo train) to ride on the bamboo train will cost you 5$ per person you can see some small villages and countryside on the bamboo train and so please continue to read on our next destination
Here’s Phnom Sampov mountain (the killing cave and bat cave) and you can either hike or take a motorbike up the mountain to view the killing cave, big cannon, gun, monastery and Stupa. The view from the top of this hill is one of the most beautiful views in Battambang! Once you are finished at the killing caves, we wait approximately 5-10 minutes for millions of bats to emerge from their cave. I will share with you the history about Pol Pot, the killing caves, and the mountain. When you are finished at the bat cave, I will drop you off at your hotel.
