Hakone Shrine Founded in 757, Hakone Shrine is renowned for its historical significance as a place of worship for many military commanders. Travelers can explore the majestic shrine surrounded by lush greenery, visit the Treasure Hall to learn about its storied past, and admire the iconic "Heiwa Torii" gate located on the shores of Lake Ashi.

4

At Heiwa no Torii, travelers will witness a breathtaking scene where tradition meets nature—this iconic "Torii of Peace" stands gracefully in the waters of Lake Ashi, framing Mount Fuji in the background on clear days. Located near Hakone Shrine, the vibrant red torii gate offers a striking contrast against the serene lake and lush forests. Visitors can walk down the cedar-lined path to the lakeside, where the torii provides a perfect photo spot, especially at sunrise or sunset. The site exudes a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere, making it a must-visit for those seeking beauty, culture, and a moment of quiet reflection during their Hakone adventure.

5

At Tōgendai Port, travelers can embark on the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise aboard a themed "pirate ship" that sails across Lake Ashi. These ships, designed to resemble historical sailing vessels, offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, the iconic red torii gate of Hakone Shrine, and, on clear days, Mount Fuji in the distance. The cruise provides a unique perspective of the lake's natural beauty and cultural landmarks. Additionally, Tōgendai Port serves as a transit hub, connecting visitors to the Hakone Ropeway, which ascends to Ōwakudani, a volcanic valley known for its hot springs and scenic vistas. Facilities at the port include dining options and souvenir shops, making it a convenient and enjoyable stop during a Hakone day trip. The Hakone Pirate Ship is a special tourist attraction in Hakone Town, Japan. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji and the torii gate of Hakone Shrine while taking a boat on Lake Ashi.

6
Stop 6

The Hakone Ropeway overlooks the volcanic wonders of Owakudani along the way. When the weather is clear, you can also see the magnificent scenery of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi in the distance. The car is designed with panoramic glass, with a wide field of vision. The stop is "Owakudani" on the way. Includes a one-way cable car ticket from Togendai to Owakudani. Owakudani is a famous volcanic relic in Hakone, Japan, formed by a volcanic eruption about 3,000 years ago. There is frequent geothermal activity here, the air is filled with sulfur steam, and the surrounding rocks are exposed, presenting a desolate and spectacular scene. Visitors can observe the fumaroles and boiling hot springs up close and feel the majestic power of nature.

7

Lake Yamanaka is the largest and highest lake among the Fuji Five Lakes, located at the eastern foot of Mount Fuji. It is famous for its beautiful "Inverse Fuji" landscape. Elegant swans live on the lakeside. Visitors can row boats on the lake where swans swim, or feed the swans and interact with them. In summer, you can also enjoy the "Diamond Fuji" spectacle.

8

Oshino Hakkai is a collection of eight natural spring pools located in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. They are formed by melting snow from Mount Fuji after decades of filtration and are known as the "Jiuzhaigou of Japan". Each of the eight spring pools has its own characteristics, and the water temperature is maintained at around 13°C all year round. Visitors can taste the clear spring water that can be drunk directly.
