Continue with a brief stop at the Rwanda-Uganda border to clear customs before heading to the park headquarters, where you’ll meet your experienced guides and receive a briefing on the trek.

The hike can last up to three hours or more, navigating steep, high-altitude terrain on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains.
