This tour option begins at the Solomon Islands memorial garden. The memorial garden is located east of Honiara, at the Henderson field, the spot of the battle of Guadalcanal.
The memorial garden is a lovely place to visit and reflect on what happened during the WWII. It is lined up with candle trees and plaques of various shapes commemorating soldiers who have died during WWII in Solomon Islands.The plaques beautifully set out making the whole place very moving, making one feel sad as it brings to mind what happened in this place during WWII. There are no graves in the site, it was so simple, quiet and green.
In the garden travelers can take pictures and ask questions relating to the garden. Also, they can sit on available benches and reflect or pause in a moment of silence to pay respect for people who have died. Take a moment to thank them. Take off your head covering, if any, when you enter.
Admission is free and the garden is spacious, it can accommodate more than twenty people.

This tour will take you through the city passing St. Barnabas cathedral where Christians gathered to worship on sun days. For this attraction the tour will pass by without stopping and the tour guide will provide a brief history about the cathedral and the religion.

The next stop is at the Holy Cross Cathedral. The cathedral is located in the center of Honiara on a hill near Town Council office. This is where Roman Catholic church goers go to worship on Sundays.
