We offer the only 100% vegan tours in Siracusa/Ortigia. The tours are small and will never include more than six people. Your tour guide, Tonia, is an American expat who has been vegan for 17 years. She is a native English speaker & can speak a bit of Italian very poorly! Her passion for Ortigia and the vegan experience is welcoming and wonderful.
You will enjoy excellent adult beverages paired with divine locally-made dark chocolates and mindblowing housemade vegan cheeses on the gorgeous island of Ortigia.
The first stop is the delicious vegan-friendly Modica dark chocolate shop, Sabadì Bottega e Cantina. Tonia will meet you there and introduce you to the chocolate & wine pairing experts, Ramona or Chiara. They will serve you a flight of three organic, vegan, and locally produced Vermouths paired expertly with the Sicilian Modica dark chocolates. They will explain the taste and complexity of each pairing, and describe how this unique and intense chocolate is produced. Tonia will join you in the tasting experience. After the tasting is concluded, you are welcome to taste as many chocolate samples as you'd like. The chocolates also make incredible gifts for friends and family back home, so be prepared to do a bit of shopping!
From the chocolate shop, she will take you on a short & scenic walk through the narrow, ancient Ortigia streets to MOON. This final stop includes MOON's signature Vegan Cheese Board. Pair this luscious appetizer with a Classic Cocktail or glass of wine to create the perfect aperitivo. Water is also included. Tonia is happy to stay with you to chat or leave you to enjoy the rest of the evening.
She suggests that you experience dinner at MOON when the Happy Hour Tour has concluded. If you would like the table for the evening, please mention it in the comment section when you book your tickets, and she will reserve the table for you! Buon Appetito!
Tonia will meet you at Sabadì Bottega in the Piazza Duomo near the Gelati Bianca gelato shop. She & Chiara will be waiting for you inside!
