About this experience

After breakfast, we drive to Zanzibar Stone Town to catch our boat to Prison Island tour. The island lies just off the Old Stone Town, it is also a home to giant land tortoises that were imported from Seychelles in the late 19th century and are now under strict conservation. Now it is more commonly known as the home of Zanzibar’s Giant Aldabran Tortoise colony, some of which are over a hundred years old. Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises.
After some time at prison island, you will leave ahead to Nakupenda Sandbank. Get prepared to swim and snorkeling, have the test of mouth watering tropical fruits with delicious seafoods lunch.

Stop 1

Prison Island tour where you will visit the small Island near Stone Town seeing the old giant land Tortoises brought in 1919 as a gift for the Sultan and his wife not only this but also you will see the old Prison built in 1893 to 1894 but never used. You will walk inside the Island so that you can discover more things about the Island.  The Island has got a beautiful Beach where you can swim just in case you would like to swim.

Stop 2

Nakupenda Sandbank is located just off Stone Town, Zanzibar and it is around 20 minutes of boat ride to the Island. Once on the sandbank, you will be provided with snorkeling equipment such as masks for Snorkeling purposes.

Stone Town tour where you will visit the historical buildings in Zanzibar old Town such as Slave Market,  Zanzibar Doors,  House of Wonders, Freddie Mercury House and may more You will learn many about Stone Town and experience the life in Old Town including discovering more hidden facts about Zanzibar.  The Guide will take you around all the Town and shows you everything.
