Detailed itinerary

1

After meeting up, we started our journey along the Nacional 222 and towards Pinhão. With a length of 226km, the most beautiful section of the N222 is the one that connects the city of Régua to Pinhão and which translates into 27km, 93 curves and an essential companion: the Douro river!

2

At the Pinhão pier, we will take a cruise on the Douro in a Rabelo boat lasting 1 hour. As one of the iconic images of the Douro, the Barco Rabelo has been part of the history of this region since ancient times. It was in this type of Portuguese vessel that the barrels of Port wine were transported from the Douro Vinhateiro, place of production, to Vila Nova de Gaia, where the wines were stored for aging and later commercialization.

3

A magnificent view over Pinhão and the Douro River. Enjoy this unique landscape and observe how the beautiful slopes hang over the Douro River... take a deep breath and feel free to engrave this place in your memory!

4

Visit with a visit to some exterior points and also to the cellar. We will get to know the history of this family and the path they took to reach the present day. Tasting of 3 different wines but also olive oil and honey!
Afterwards, a brunch consisting of regional and delicious products will be served!

5

After Brunch, return to the original destination with a stop at the Bagaúste Dam, a different dam that is characterized not only by allowing navigation on the Douro River but also by being used for the production of electricity.
