At Dune 7, you’ll have the option to climb to the top — a rewarding but challenging activity. From the summit, you'll enjoy incredible panoramic views and a perfect opportunity for unique photos. The climb is steep and sandy, but for those up for the adventure, it's a must-do!

Please note:
The dune climb is optional

An additional fee applies of N$150, which is not included in the tour price

If you prefer not to climb, you can relax at the base, take photos, explore the surroundings, or simply enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere. Whether you climb or not, Dune 7 is a memorable stop and a highlight of the tour.

2

Moon Landscape Viewpoint
Another highlight of the tour is a stop at the breathtaking Moon Landscape, a surreal and scenic viewpoint that looks like something from another planet. Formed by centuries of erosion, this dramatic terrain of deep valleys and rugged hills offers some of the most unique desert views in Namibia. Another highlight will be spotting the iconic Welwitschia plant, the National Plant of Namibia.

There is no admission fee, and guests will have plenty of time to climb out, stretch their legs, and take in the incredible scenery. It’s the perfect spot for stunning photos, quiet reflection, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

To make the experience even better, a cold beverage is included in the tour — enjoy your drink while soaking in the view!

Goanikontes Oasis – Historic Farm Stop
Our next stop is the charming Goanikontes Oasis, a historic old German farm nestled in the middle of the desert. This peaceful green spot is surrounded by rugged desert landscape, making it a unique and refreshing contrast.

Visitors can freely explore the area, view some local farm animals, and take in the beautiful natural surroundings. It’s a great opportunity to take photos, stretch your legs, and enjoy the calm atmosphere.

There is a restaurant and curio shop on site, where you can purchase drinks, snacks, or souvenirs if you wish — but please note, any purchases made here are not included in the tour price and will be at your own expense.

We’ll spend around 30 to 40 minutes at Goanikontes, and whether you decide to relax in the shade, interact with animals, or browse the shop, the choice is entirely yours.
