Where the Yoshino River winds deep into the mountains of Iya, a phenomenon of mists gathering and flowing through the valley is called the “sea of clouds”. These conditions shift depending on the area’s geography, the daily weather, and the river water's temperature. But in Oboke-Iya area (depending on the season), you can view this natural phenomenon almost daily! Rise before the sun and bask in the majesty of nature.

Please note that although the tour spots are set as "Oboke & Koboke gorges", they may be other Sea of Clouds Viewpoint. A cab will pick you up at the boarding point and take you to the Sea of Clouds Viewpoint. After viewing the sea of clouds, you will board the cab again and be escorted back to the drop-off location. The cab ride will take approximately 15 minutes each way, and the cloud sea viewing time at the Sea of Clouds Viewpoint will be approximately 30 minutes.
Please be in front of the hotel entrance by the time the experience starts. A cab will pick you up. The cab company will be notified when the reservation is confirmed.
