Our Meeting Point of the group is the center of the Plaza de Armas, where the water fountain and the statue of the Inca are located
We start from here walking around 12 minutes to our first place to visit Corikancha.

Inside you will see small temples dedicated to the sun, the moon, and the stars, maintaining the original stone foundations. Outside there are gardens and fountains in the grounds of the sun temple.
In 1538, along with the Spanish conquest, the order of the Dominicans built the temple of Santo Domingo on the foundations of the Coricancha, thus showing the power of the Spanish over the Incas. Later, the temple was looted almost completely, stripped of the precious metals that decorated it.
