Stop 1

Our guide will take you around Ba Dinh Square to see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside and learn about the life and legacy of “Uncle Ho”. You will also see the surrounding government buildings and gardens, with time to take photos at this important historical and political site.
The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays, Fridays and in the afternoon, and may also be closed unexpectedly for annual maintenance or official events. On these days, we will still visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex from the outside for photos and replace the inside visit with a similar attraction in Hanoi.

Visit Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070. Stroll through peaceful courtyards, ancient stone steles and beautiful traditional architecture while your guide explains the Confucian examination system and student life in the past.

Continue to the heart of the Old Quarter and walk across the iconic red wooden bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. Hear the legend of the returned sword, explore the temple and enjoy lovely views over Hoan Kiem Lake and the surrounding streets.

Finish with a stop at a local café along Hanoi’s famous Train Street. Sit just a few steps from the railway line, enjoy a drink and learn how local people live and work so close to the tracks. If a train is scheduled, you may experience the exciting moment when it passes by.
