Detailed itinerary

D1 Chengdu - Huanglong - Jiuzhaigou (467km,9hrs drive)
At 6:30, our driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and drive to the Huanglong Scenic Area.
Along the way, you will see the Diexi Haizi, a plateau lake formed by a large earthquake, also known as the Diexi earthquake site.

At noon, you will have lunch in the Songzhou Ancient City, founded in the Ming Dynasty, it is not only a military fortress in the northwest of Sichuan since ancient times, but also an important station for the "tea horse trade" of the Tibetan, Qiang, Hui, and Han people with a long history.

Tip: There is no fee to enter the city, but climbing the wall charges 41 yuan (not included).

Stop 3

***Due to maintenance, the sightseeing buses and cable cars at Huanglong Scenic Area will be out of service from December 1st to December 25th. We refund the visitors on-site.***

Around 2:00 p.m., you will arrive at the Huanglong Scenic Area. To save your energy and time, we will arrange a cable car to the top of the valley, then hike down to see the outstanding travertine lake terraces close up.
Recommended sightseeing time:3-4 hours.

At 5:30 p.m.the driver will meet you at the entrance and drive to Jiuzhaigou.
At 6:30 pm, you will arrive at Jiuzhai Valley National Park

D2 Jiuzhaigou Full-day Tour
After breakfast in the hotel, at 7:30 a.m., the driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and drive to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Start early to discover the fairyland landscapes and avoid the crowding.
There are three main valleys: Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. Private vehicles are not allowed inside, so you can take the shuttle buses in the scenic area and tour around.
A buffet lunch can be arranged in Nuorilang Restaurant, which is the only restaurant in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. If you like, you could take simple food like chocolate, bread, crisps, and fruit and arrange a picnic lunch instead.
After finish touring, the driver will meet you at the exit and take you back to your hotel.
Classic Route:
Morning: Entrance - Virgin Forest - Swan Lake - Jianzhuhai Sea - Panda Lake - Wuhuahai - Pearl Beach
Afternoon: Changhai - Colorful Pond - Nuorilang Waterfall - Xiliu Sea - Shuzheng Waterfall - Reed Lake - Exit

D3 Jiuzhaigou - Bao’en Temple - Chengdu (475km,8hrs drive)
At 8:30 a.m., after your breakfast in the hotel, we will drive through the east route back to Chengdu today. Leave the magnificent mountain pass behind, then you will arrive at Pingwu County.
At 12:00, have a simple lunch in Pingwu County.
At 12:30, explore the small but rather impressive Pingwu Bao’en Temple (1440 AD), a highlight of the tour.
The temple built in is a whole teak structure. It is shocking to survive the changes of the times and earthquakes after hundreds of years. Recommended sightseeing time:2 hours.

At 14:30 - 19:00, we will drive all the way back to Chengdu and say goodbye.
Tips:
#1 In the case of traffic control, we will have to go the original route back to Chengdu.
#2 It is expected to arrive in Chengdu around 19:00. However, the traffic along the way is not predictable. A train or flight departing on the same day is not suggested.
