This is a Tendai sect temple in Saga. Located at the foothills entrance to the approach to Mt. Atago Shrine, it is known as the ``starting point of the Sagano tour''.
Hirosawa Pond is a one with a circumference of about 1.3 km located in Arasiyama area. On days when there is no wind, you can enjoy the mirrored reflection in the pond. It offers you a special
atomosphere that you wouldn't feel on a regular trip and experience the sense of local life with paddy fields. We will head to our next spot geting through the paddy fields.
Tenryuji is said to be the first of Kyoto's five temples as a Zen temple connected to the Ashikaga Shogun family and Emperor Godaigo.
