What to bring and how to prepare for your surf lesson
Please bring the following items with you to your surf lesson : a towel, swimwear, sunscreen, enough drinking water, and optionally a small snack.
Depending on the surf conditions and the beach we choose for the day, we will spend around 3 hours at the beach and in the water – usually at least 2.5 hours, and rarely more than 3.5 hours. There will of course be breaks, and you are welcome to take a rest at any time during the session.
Surfing is a nature-based sport, and our beginner lessons take place in waist-deep water, which is only available during low tide. The tides change approximately every 6 hours and shift by about 40 minutes each day. This means that the start time of the surf lesson may vary depending on the tide. Start times are usually around 8:30 or 14:00, but can be as early as 08:00 or as late as 15:00.
To prepare the right surf equipment for you, please send us your height and weight in advance. If you would like to be picked up from your accommodation, please let us know your hotel or address.
Please tell us what you practiced last time – for example, riding whitewater waves, doing the take-off in the lineup, or catching green waves.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in the water.
