About this experience

Beautiful green scenery, mangrove and the home of red colobus
monkeys. Jozani forest is one of the Zanzibar Natural Forest. It is located in the Southern part of the island. Nature and biodiversity at its best! Never miss a visit to the largest natural forest in Zanzibar, Jozani, the only National Park in Zanzibar and UNESCO recognized natural World Heritage Site.
The Park hosts hundreds of species of trees, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Jozani is the original nest of the rare Red Colobus Monkeys which are not seen anywhere else in the world except in this area in Zanzibar. Walk through trail of the natural forest, watch and get close to the colobus and visit a natural lagoon.

This half day guided tour begins and ends at your hotel. The forest has now been declared a reserve and holds the rare and Red Colobus Monkeys to be seen anywhere else in the world.
This guided tour of three hours takes you to Jozani natural forest; the smaller trees and shrubs make several sub canopies under the highest canopy. You will walk through the nature trail of the forest, which is a habitat for many species of animals and is famous for its Red Colobus Monkeys – the rare species. Return to your hotel.
