In the morning, our tour guide will sign your name and meet your hotel lobby at 09:00am and transfer to Chengdu Jinsha Museum need 20 minutes driving, 9km.
Spread over the site of the ruins of the 3,000-year-old kingdom of Shu, the Jinsha Museum houses one of the largest archaeological collections in China. Within the museum-park are ongoing archaeological excavations, exhibitions of fascinating finds and ancient treasures including the Sunbird Gold Disk, mysterious golden masks, spectacular jade-ware and giant elephant tusks, interactive displays of cultural relics and a thrilling 4D cinema that will transport you back through Chengdu's long history to the ancient splendor of the kingdom of Jinsha.
Once just a humble thatched cottage and home of the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu (712-70 AD), Du Fu's Thatched Cottage is now surrounded by a complex of Song Dynasty temples and pavilions and a museum erected in his honor. You will tour the peaceful and picturesque grounds and museum which offer great insight into Chinese architecture, literature and history.
After the lunch, we will Transfer to Shu Brocade and Embroidery Museum which is the oldest of China's four famous silk brocades and a mainstay of the old Silk Road, Shu Brocade (Shu is the shortened form of Sichuan) is renowned for its fine needlework, vibrant colors, luxurious feel and elegant designs. The Shu Brocade and Embroidery Museum takes you back 2000 years to the craft's birth in the Han Dynasty, a time of ancient wooden looms, humming busily and silver-haired craftsmen in traditional robes weaving their magic, through to the modern day.
