Stop 2

First, we will visit the Green Lake, enjoy fresh air and morning life of local citizens. The Green Lake Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Kunming. The water is green, the bamboos around the lake are green, and willows in summer and spring are green, hence the name. It is reputed as the emerald of Kunming City.

Next, go to the Birds and Flowers market which is the perfect place to experience the local life of Kunming and to buy souvenirs, flowers.
The Flower and Bird Market was built in 1980 and originally the site selling flowers, birds, pets, insects and goldfish to the locals. As business prospered, it has begun to attract more and more visitors, and has gradually developed into an enchanting shopping and sightseeing center with a true local flavor.

Afterwards, walk to visit Jinma Biji Archway, Nanping Street and East and West Pagodas. They are very clso to each other.
The Jinma-Biji (Golden Horse-Green Rooster) Archway is a traditional piece of architecture.
The emblem of the city of Kunming is composed of a golden horse and a green rooster. It was designed according to a popular legend about Dianchi Lake.

Nanping Street is the old block and the historical commercial street. In old Kunming, Nanping Street was a collection of finance, commerce and entertainment center, maintaining the attraction of downtown district. The Nanping Business Street is the result of encouraging the development of commerce, culture and entertainment.
During the Anti Japanese War, there were 48 financial organizations including the old blocks of Huguo Road and Jinbi Road. It was praised as the “Wall Street” of Kunming.

The Eastern and Western Pagodas are two pagodas, only about 200 metres apart, in the southern part of Kunming, Yunnan, China. Also known as the Pagoda of the East Temple and the Pagoda of the West Temple, they were constructed in the late eighth or early ninth century AD, under the rule of the Kingdom of Nanzhao.

After the lunch, we will Transfer to the Yuantong Temple which is the grandest and most important Buddhist temple in Yunnan Province and also is one of the main temple in which Kunming people participate Buddhist activities. Huge crowd of people comes for worshiping on the first day and the fifteenth day of every month in China lunar calendar. Tourists may have a change to witness the worship if they go on the right days.
