About this experience

Pre-book a private pick-up transfer from Shangri-La hotel/Banyan Tree Ringha to Lijiang/Shuhe hotel, and enjoy a smooth start to your trip. On the way, we can stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge and you can go to the sinic spot area of lijiang side,enjoy the walking go and back around 5km.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge, with its glorious view of the rapids, torrential current of the Jinsha River, was created through constant erosion by the waters between the Jade Dragon Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain.

About 16 kilometres long, the gorge drops is around 300 metres in a series of 18 rapids. The water surface is about 1,800 metres above sea level and the Snow Mountains on both sides soar as high as 5,600 metres.

The journey takes 6-7 hours by private car, because we also need to stop at the Tiger Leaping Gorge, If we don't stops at Shaxi area, just take a 4 hours.
