Discover the soul of northern New Mexico on a full-day, luxury tour from Santa Fe to Chimayó, Taos Pueblo, and the Rio Grande Gorge. Travel in comfort aboard a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a local guide who brings the region’s culture, history, and landscapes to life. Visit the sacred Santuario de Chimayó, explore the living history of Taos Pueblo with a Pueblo guide, and stand in awe at the dramatic Rio Grande Gorge. Enjoy a locally sourced lunch in Taos and relax with small group service, all-inclusive convenience, and unforgettable views along the way.
Here we will stop and visit the Santuario de Chimayo, old church completed in 1816. This place has healing dirt and what we call El Portico, or mini well of dirt that you are welcome to take with you. This is the largest pilgrimage site in the US, over 300,000 visitors each year and thousands of healed people have come out of this place. Very historic and spiritual place.
Here we will visit the 1,000 year old Taos Pueblo. We will have a local Taos Pueblo person give us a tour of the Pueblo. We learn about their history, culture, traditions, and much more. Then you will be able to shop and visit some of the vendors.
Quick pass by the highest elevation bridge in the US just over 560 feet. If we have time and are able, we can stop by for a quick view over the bridge. This all depends on timing and peoples ability to walk a little distance.
We will meet in front of La Fonda on E. San Francisco St.
