Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

Just 40 minutes from Athens, Vouliagmeni Lake is a unique natural thermal spa set amid stunning scenery. Known for its warm, mineral-rich waters, the lake is a popular destination for relaxation and nature lovers alike. Officially recognized by Greece’s Special Committee for the Protection of Natural Thermal Resources, Vouliagmeni Lake offers a refreshing start to your tour of the Attica region. The Lake’s water gushes from springs 50 to 100 meters deep at a temperature ranging between 22 to 29 degrees Celsius all year round. The Lake flows into the sea as its water level is 50 cm above the sea water level. This helps in the continuous renewal of the lake’s water and results in its brackish composition.

Stop 2

A 30-minute drive from Vouliagmeni brings you to the ancient Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, perched on the southern coast of Attica overlooking the Myrtoan Sea. Built between 444 and 440 BC during Pericles’ era, this temple was dedicated to Poseidon, the god of the sea.

The temple served as a key lookout for ships entering and leaving the port of Piraeus. Enjoy stunning views of the Aegean coastline and soak in centuries of Greek history.

The tour ends with a scenic 75-minute drive back to your Athens drop-off point.
