About this experience

Detailed itinerary

Arrive at the port of Kardamena and board our boat ‘’Captain Dimitris” to start the cruise at 9:30am. Sail to Nisyros island for 45 minutes.

Stop 2

Within the next 45 minutes we will be arriving at the island of Nisyros. Then our bus, will take you to the highest point of the island at 2,000 feet where the volcano is , to enjoy the panoramic spectacular view. If you wish you can descend into the volcanic crater where you can feel the volcano moving under your feet and see the sulfur springs bubbling up. It's a unique and great experience as this volcano is among the most popular and special spots in Greece. Whoever sets foot in the heart of the crater is almost impossible not to be captivated by the awe and majesty of the place around them, as the image that one faces upon stepping on the volcanic rocks it only seems unreal.

Then, after spending almost 45 minutes at the Volcano, take our bus to the village of Nikia, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. Located near a volcano, this village is built like a labyrinth and it's easy to get lost in its beautiful streets.

Board our bus and within 25 minutes you will reach the last stop of the tour the seaside village of Mandraki, the capital and the port of Nisyros. From here, you can optionally climb about 200 steps to reach the mountain Monastery of Panagia Spiliani. From this point, you can admire the panoramic view of Nisyros and the beautiful Orthodox Church of Panagia as it is one of the jewels of the island! If you want to relax, explore the town with its unique atmosphere, stroll through the narrow streets, visit the souvenir shops and then go to Ilikiomeni square to enjoy coffee, raki, meze, and enjoy your lunch and traditional snacks such us sweet tomato!

At 15:30you will return to our boat, and start the return journey to Kardamena where you started the cruise in the morning. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes depending on weather conditions.
