About this experience

We sail to Nisyros from Kardamena port on our boat. Nisyros is one of the smallest islands of the Dodecanese, and the boat trip from the island of Kos is only about 1 hour. Enjoy a day on this unique and beautiful island famous for its natural beauty and cultural heritage and optionally visit its active volcano.

Detailed itinerary

Arrive at the port of Kardamena and board our boat ‘’Captain Dimitris” to start the cruise at 9:30am. The trip to Nisyros will take around 45 minutes - 1 hour (maximum)

During this beautiful day, you will spend 5 hours on the island of Nisyros.

Despite its size, Nisyros is rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. When you at Mandraki Harbor you can optionally (extra charge) take a bus to the highest point of the island at 2000 feet for spectacular panoramic views. You can descend into the volcanic crater if you wish. There you can feel the volcano moving under your feet and see the sulfur springs bubbling up. It's a unique and great experience for people to enjoy in their lives. Later on, our bus will take you back to Mandraki within 25 minutes bus drive. Here you can climb around 200 steps to reach the mountain monastery of Panagia Spirani. You can also relax and explore the town of Mandraki and enjoy its unique atmosphere before embarking on your journey back.

At 15:30you will return to our boat, and start the return journey to Kardamena where you started the cruise in the morning. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes depending on weather conditions.

Return to Kardamena at 16:30. This beautiful day is over!
