Embark on an extraordinary adventure where you will come face to face with the untamed spirit of nature itself! Nestled amidst the majestic embrace of the Tsitsikamma mountains and the sprawling tapestry of lush forests, the Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary beckons you into a world where endangered wildlife finds solace and sanctuary. As the oldest wolf sanctuary in South Africa, established in 2001, this nonprofit company has dedicated itself to preserving and protecting these magnificent animals, both wolves and wolf dogs alike.
Here, you are granted the extraordinary privilege of a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with these awe-inspiring creatures, an experience that will forever reside in the depths of your soul, and where the ethereal howls of these majestic animals echo through the wind, as if whispering the secrets of the wild. This sanctuary is more than just a refuge; it is a sanctuary of the spirit, where harmony and respect for all living beings find their truest expression.
The day visit includes an educational guided tour of the Sanctuary and the wolves. The Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary provides safe-haven for surrendered Grey Timber wolves, non-indigenous to South Africa, rescued from the exotic pet trade.
Tsitsikamma Wolf Sanctuary is a True Sanctuary, being a non-breeding, non-touch and non-trading facility.
Your guide will educate you on wolf conservation efforts, and you are introduced to the wolves at the Sanctuary in a respectful and ethical manner, respecting the wolves.
