About this experience
The Borghese Gallery is one of the most famous and visited museums in Rome with 20 rooms and hundreds of art works spread across two floors. This 2-hour in-depth private tour will give you the chance to discover masterpieces realised by Caravaggio, Bernini, and Raphael.
Your Tour will start on the ground floor, where you will first discover one of Bernini's famous masterpieces " Rape of Proserpina", commissioned by Cardinal Scipione, becoming the first of a series of art works to fill the Gallery. Here you will find many more fabulous statues such as " Paolina Borghese by Canova", "Apollo and Daphne " and "David" by Bernini.
On the first floor, you will quickly realise that this is mostly devoted to paintings. You will Get to know all about Raphael by discovering the deposition of Christ and the ‘portrait of a man’ and you surely will not miss Caravaggio's " David with the head of Goliath" , " Youngster with basket of fruit ", and " Young Sick Bacchus "
