About this experience

We will take a bus or van to Barranquilla, a trip of approximately 2 hours. We will arrive at the first stop in the town of Ciénaga, in this place we will enjoy a typical coastal breakfast. Then we will arrive to Santa Marta. In the city we will visit the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. When we leave the place we will reach the statue of the great Pibe Valderrama. We will have time to buy souvenirs or memories of the city. We arrive at the Rodadero sector, characterized by its light sand beaches and high-rise buildings. In the area we will enjoy a typical lunch according to the selected option and a sea bath. Then we will head towards the city of Barranquilla, a two-hour tour, arriving at La Arenosa, its emblematic monuments such as: La Aleta del Shark and Venta in the world, without leaving aside its great Tourist Boardwalk that allows us to appreciate the Magdalena River and we return to the access road to Cartagena de Indias where the tour will have ended.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

We will pick up travelers and meet them, then we will travel to our first attraction.

Our first stop will be in the swamp which is a fishing town with gastronomic wealth, in this place we will enjoy a typical coastal breakfast.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast. We will take a 4-hour tour and arrive at Santa Marta, capital of the department of Magdalena, officially a Cultural and Historical District.

Stop 4

Upon arriving in the city, we will visit La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino for 1 hour, an old hacienda where the Liberator Simon Bolivar lived his last days and died.

Then we will arrive at the statue of the great Pibe Valderrama, former Samarium soccer player, recognized for his great participation in the Colombian national team in the 90s. We will have time to purchase souvenirs or memories of the city.

Then we will arrive at the Rodadero sector, a seaside resort of Santa Marta, characterized by its light sand beaches and high-rise buildings. In the area we will enjoy a typical lunch according to the selected option and a sea bath.

When we arrive at 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm we will be heading towards the city of Barranquilla, a two-hour journey that will allow us to contemplate when we arrive at La Arenosa.

Stop 8

Upon arriving in Barraquilla we will visit the first monument which is the window of the world. It reaches a height of 47 meters facing the sea and represents a window, hence its name. This structure is a work of modern art that seeks to represent the opening of this region to Colombia and the world. It is an icon of Barranquilla and an example of the development and potential of a city in constant growth.

Afterwards we will visit the statue of Shakira which measures 6 and a half meters high, it was made in tribute to the great singer who was born in this city and is also an internationally famous artist.

After visiting the Shakira statue we will go to another emblematic site which is the Malecon Turistico that allows us to appreciate the Magdalena River, popular with pedestrians and cyclists. An hour is allocated to take photographs, taste the local cuisine or buy souvenirs.

Finally we will visit the monument, the shark fin is a structure, covered with glass made by Tecnoglass, it forms a fin in its center and is named La Ventana de Campeones or La Aleta del Tiburón, related to the most famous nickname of the red and white team ( BARRANQUILLA JUNIOR)

After visiting all these emblematic sites, we will return to Cartagena where the tour ends and we will leave you at the starting point of the tour.
