About this experience

This is an off-road trip through Four Peaks Wilderness Area. We will be passing Saguaro Lake and entering sandy rolls of through Pobrecito access point. The remainder of the trip will be spent in the Four Peaks Wilderness area which brings you past many different types of landscapes (Huge Boulders, Giant Cactus, Smooth Rocks and Big Desert Washes). The Trip takes 6 hours depending on road conditions and passenger preferences. Four Peaks is an area of the Tonto National Forest. There is a good chance of seeing desert animals such as: horses, coyotes, javelina, and snakes. The peak is much cooler in temperature than Pheonix. You will need to bring a coat or jacket. In the winter there is a good chance there will be snow on the peaks.

Detailed itinerary

We will begin the trip with meeting each other and then there will be a small safety talk. Once everyone is comfortable and ready our adventure to the Four Peaks wilderness begins.

We will start with a short drive on the road to the off-road access point. The tour will continue and enter into Bulldog Canyon off of Ellsworth onto forest road 3554. This road is mostly sand, and the area looks like a BMX video game. We will then exit Bulldog Canyon by the Salt River.
This section of the ride will take 20-30 minutes.

Stop 3 Pass by

There will then be a short drive on the road to the next off-road access point. We will be passing Saguaro Lake and entering the rolls of through Pobrecito access point. (At the Pobrecito Area there is a public bathroom that can be utilized)
This section of the ride will take approximately 15 minutes.

The remainder of the trip will be spent in the Four Peaks Wilderness area. We will continue the off-road tour on fire access roads making our way up to the top of the Four Peaks Mountains.
This section of the ride will be approximately 60 minutes.

About halfway to the summit of Four-Peaks, your driver will stop at a picturesque location for Lunch. The guests will enjoy lunch, explore the area, and take scenic pictures.

The tour will continue after lunch through areas of the Four Peaks Wilderness that have huge boulders, giant cactus, and unique plants and trees. Guests will see the plants and landscape change as we rise in elevation.
This section of the ride will take approximately 30 mins.

The Tour will stop at the summit of Four Peaks Mountains. The peak is much cooler than the valley. Here the off-road guests will see Roosevelt Lake and a view of the entire valley. Guests can take pictures, hike around and explore. Find some unique rocks, plants, and maybe even animals. The return trip will take 3 hours depending on passenger preference on stopping for photos and exploring.
