About this experience

If you are planning to climb a volcano, seeking for a good viewpoint, in a not-so-physically-demanding climb - like the one of Osorno or Calbuco - while you are in the Puerto Varas area. This ascent may be a perfect fit for a fun and beautiful mountain climb in the heart of the Vicente Pérez Rosales national park.

We are local and certified mountain guides happy to join you and share our place. During the climb, you will walk along the "Paso de la Desolación", a Patagonian-looking landscape on the northern slope of the Osorno volcano. Once we start climbing La Picada, you will be amazed with the great views of Osorno, Tronador, Calbuco, and Puntiagudo.

The last part of the climb will be where we will have more challenges. We will have more exposure and the terrain will be narrower. The summit will reward you with a once-in-a-lifetime view of southern Chile.
