The Ananás dos Açores, also known as "King of the Azores", is a fruit with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), produced exclusively on the Island of São Miguel. After spending some time in Sete Cidades, we stopped again at one of the most beautiful viewpoints on São Miguel Island. The Ponta do Escalvado Viewpoint, which gives us a privileged view of the Ilhéus dos Mosteiros, is the perfect place to disconnect, listen to the birds and receive the light breeze from the Azores sea.

As the last stop on our tour, we go to the most southwestern part of São Miguel Island. Integrated into the Regional Natural Monument of Pico das Camarinhas and Ponta da Ferraria, this nature protection zone is made up of several structures of volcanic origin of great scenic and scientific value. At low tide, the sea water itself can reach a temperature of 30ºCelsius, which creates a fantastic experience that is difficult to repeat in another part of the world.
