A unique and hidden place where it is possible to read the visual narration of the adaptations undergone in the millenary eras of the Rock civilization: from an ancient cave, shared by men and animals, the site is ennobled into a church and then becomes an oil mill; finally during the 17th century it was transformed into a cellar for the production and conservation of wine.
An evocative route that enters the complex rainwater collection system, still intact, with channels dug into the rock and six wonderful cisterns, which can be explored on multiple levels, evidence of different historical phases.
The presence of the magnificent statue of San Giorgio, an ancient sculpture of rare workmanship, carved in the hard mazzaro stone, restores the lost sacredness to the complex.
The itinerary ends by arriving at ancient houses of which it is still possible to admire the original structure.
