The next point of interest on the itinerary is the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, alternatively referred to as the Djeser-Djeseru. This ancient Egyptian mortuary temple, constructed for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, is situated in Upper Egypt. Positioned beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the western bank of the Nile, it is in close proximity to the Valley of the Kings.

The Colossi of Memnon, also known as el-Colossat or es-Salamat in Arabic, consist of two immense stone statues portraying Pharaoh Amenhotep III from the 18th Dynasty of ancient Egypt. These colossal figures have graced the Theban Necropolis on the west side of the River Nile, near the contemporary city of Luxor, for the last 3,400 years since 1350 BC.
