Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Situated in the southern part of South Korea, Hallasan National Park is home to Hallasan, the highest mountain in South Korea. The park offers a diverse ecosystem, panoramic views, and cultural heritage, making it a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Several well-maintained hiking trails lead up to the peak, varying in difficulty and length, making it accessible for a range of fitness levels. These trails pass through forests of indigenous plants, wildflowers, and volcanic rock formations, offering hikers spectacular sights throughout their journey.

2

Located on the southern coast of Jeju Island, Jeongbang Waterfall is a majestic, 23-meter-high waterfall that plunges directly into the ocean, making it the only waterfall in South Korea to do so. The waterfall is surrounded by lush vegetation and dramatic cliffs, creating a picturesque and serene setting that attracts visitors from all over the world.

A short walk down a well-maintained path from the parking area leads you to the base of the waterfall, where you can feel the refreshing mist and hear the powerful roar of the water as it cascades into the sea. The area around the waterfall offers several vantage points for photography, and you may even spot local Haenyeo divers searching for seafood in the nearby waters.

3

Situated on the southern edge of Jeju Island, Yakcheonsa Temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Korea. Its name translates to "Temple of Medicinal Stream", referencing a local legend about a stream with healing properties nearby.

The temple is renowned for its impressive architecture. The Grand Buddha Hall, the temple's main building, is particularly notable. It stands at a massive four stories tall and houses an enormous statue of Vairocana Buddha reaching almost 18 meters in height. The statue is said to be one of the largest indoor Buddha statues in Asia.

4

Located on the southern coast of Jeju Island near Jungmun Beach, Jusangjeolli Cliff is a spectacular natural formation of hexagonal basalt columns created by volcanic activity over 100,000 years ago. These impressive rock formations, which resemble giant steps or pillars, are the result of lava flowing into the sea and rapidly cooling, creating the distinct columnar shapes.

A visit to Jusangjeolli Cliff offers you the chance to witness the power and beauty of nature at work. As you walk along the well-maintained observation deck, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the cliffs and the ocean, as well as the dramatic waves crashing against the rocks, creating plumes of sea spray. The contrast of the dark basalt columns and the vivid blue sea makes for stunning photographs.
