Its simple interior, combined with the natural light filtering through small openings, creates a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere amidst the valley’s striking red rocks.
The Church of Three Crosses, located near the end of the Red Valley hike. It takes its name from the three beautifully carved crosses on the ceiling — a symbol of the Holy Trinity. The church dates back to the 9th–10th centuries and was carved entirely out of soft volcanic rock. Though its decoration is simple, the geometric reliefs and crosses reflect the spiritual devotion of early Christian monks who once lived here.
