About this experience

Begin your journey from Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe and follow your guide through the charming medieval streets up to Rocca Castle, the perfect spot to enjoy an unexpected view of the Lower Town and the nearby valleys.

Your tour will then continue on to Piazza Vecchia, the center of the Upper Town. The square is enclosed by ancient palaces and the imposing civic tower; once in Piazza Duomo, you're sure to be struck by the grand Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, a real treasure of Romanesque art. You'll also have the chance to discover the Cathedral and the Baptistery as well as the Colleoni Chapel.

You'll then be taken for a quick walk along Via Corsarola, Bergamo's main street, and you'll get to take in the lively ambiance created by the old and modern shops side by side, the local restaurants and charming little coffee houses.
