Mykonos Panagia Tourliani

The monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Mykonos is situated in Ano Mera village.
The construction was established in 1542 by two priests and named after the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The monastery was restored in 1767 and owes its present name to an icon of the Virgin Mary found in the nearby area of Tourlos. Since then, Panagia Tourliani is the tutelary of the island and celebrates on August 15th.

“Armenistis” The Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1891. The height of the tower is 19 meters and the focal height is 184 meters. Agios Stefanos in Mykonos lies on the west side of Mykonos, near the New Port. You can observe the huge cruise ships in the port up close.
