Stop 2

Delphi Archaeological Museum is one of the most important museums in Greece, with exhibits discovered within the archaeological site of the Delphic Oracle. Its rich collections include architectural sculptures, statues and worshippers' tributes on the sanctuary.

3

The tholos of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, clearly visible from above, is perhaps the most characteristic monument at Delphi and the most important building of this small sanctuary. Located between the later temple of Athena and the Treasury of Massalia, this circular building of unknown purpose is a masterpiece of Classical architecture. It is thought to have been connected with chthonic cults, although Pausanians, who saw its ruins in the second century AD, does not refer to it as a temple.

4

Arachova is a mountainous village nestling picturesquely at the foot of Mountain Parnassos in Viotia, Southern Greece. It is the most cosmopolitan winter destination in Greece, a great favourite for passionate ski lovers and celebrities, or just first-time visitors who wish to relax in a dreamy mountainous setting with modern tourism facilities. We will walk through the alleys of the village and we will visit the famous clock, a perfect point with a panoramic view for amazing photos! Τhen we will eat in a traditional tavern and start our way back to Athens.
