This medieval stone bridge was the only bridge in Florence spared from destruction during World War II. Characteristics are the shops built on its sides, which used to be common practice: however, butchers, farmers and tanners of the old days are now replaced by jewellers, art dealers and souvenirs sellers.

Here you will have the time to discover and admire universally known monuments such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Pisa Cathedral, the Pisa Baptistry and the Camposanto Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery), all magnificent examples of Romanesque architecture.

The bell tower, known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is by far the most famous building within the "Piazza dei Miracoli". Begun in 1173, the tower has been leaning since the beginnings of its construction and it is widely recognized as an outstanding feat of engineering. This spectacular monument can been enjoyed from the ground or by climbing tho 273 steps to the top, where you will get an beautiful view over the surroundings.
