We will embark on a tour of the island starting from the famous village of Oia. Equipped with comfortable walking shoes, we will take you to see the well-known Caldera and the iconic Blue Domes, which are must-see attractions. You will have ample time for taking photos and exploring the quaint shopping alleys, filled with local brands, handmade goods, and art galleries.
Next stop the famous capital of the island, Fira, where you will find the Prehistoric Thira Museum, as well as the Orthodox and Catholic Cathedral. Scroll around the little alleys of Fira until meeting the caldera with stunning views of the volcano. Fira is also home to the largest market on the island, with numerous restaurants, tavernas, cafes, and nightclubs.
Our journey continues to the Convent of Profitis Ilias, the highest peak of the mountain (567m/1860 ft), offering breathtaking views. The convent houses a valuable collection of holy images, handwritten books, and rare ecclesiastical items.
We will then visit the village of Pyrgos, once the old capital of the island, and the highest village in Santorini. You will see the medieval castle, numerous churches, traditional houses, and picturesque alleys.
Next stop -to relax- Perissa's Black Beach, named for its dark sand, which is made of black volcanic pebbles. The contrast of the black sand against the crystal-clear water of the Aegean Sea creates a breathtaking landscape.
